Maschio Pitagora SS Square Baler

DESCRIPTION
The Maschio Pitagora SS square baler is designed for producing compact, uniform bales with consistent density and size, making it well-suited for hay and forage operations. It features an adjustable bale length system, allowing operators to set bale sizes from approximately 300 mm up to 1,350 mm, ensuring flexibility for different handling and storage requirements. The baler produces standard rectangular bales (approximately 14 × 18 inches), which are easy to handle and separate into flakes for feeding.
Equipped with a wide and adjustable pick-up, the Pitagora SS efficiently collects crop material with minimal loss, while side gauge wheels help it follow ground contours for consistent feeding and reduced wear. The machine operates with a high plunger speed of around 93 strokes per minute (up to 105 strokes per minute on in-line versions), contributing to strong performance and productivity. A heavy-duty flywheel and robust internal components enhance durability and smooth operation.
The baler uses a reliable two-twine knotting system, supported by a built-in fan that keeps the knotter area clean to maintain consistent tying performance, even in dusty conditions. Additional features such as hydraulic pick-up adjustment, LED work lights, and a heavy-duty drawbar improve usability and convenience. With a PTO speed of 540 rpm and a tractor power requirement of approximately 45 to 80 horsepower, the Pitagora SS is a versatile and dependable machine for small to medium-scale baling operations. As with most equipment, specifications may vary depending on the model and configuration.
