GIANT Hammermills: Electric (Diesel & PTO)

DESCRIPTION
Hammermills are versatile machines used for grinding grain, feed, and other materials, and are available in electric, diesel, and PTO-driven configurations to suit different operational needs. All types operate using a series of high-speed rotating hammers that crush and grind material into a consistent size suitable for animal feed or further processing.
Electric hammermills are powered by an electric motor, typically ranging from around 5 to 10 horsepower, making them suitable for fixed installations where a reliable power supply is available. Diesel hammermills, on the other hand, are equipped with independent engines—generally in the 15 to 50 horsepower range—offering greater mobility and making them ideal for remote areas without access to electricity. PTO-driven hammermills are powered by a tractor’s power take-off system, providing flexibility and eliminating the need for a separate engine or motor.
Grinding capacity varies depending on the size and design of the machine, but typically ranges from approximately 500 to 5,000 pounds per hour. Built for durability and consistent performance, hammermills are widely used in agricultural operations for efficient feed preparation. As with most equipment, specifications may vary depending on the model and manufacturer.
