GIANT Furrow Ridger: 3 & 5 Furrow Ridger

DESCRIPTION
Furrow ridgers in 3 and 5 furrow configurations are designed for forming multiple ridges or planting rows in a single pass, making them suitable for crops such as potatoes, maize, and vegetables. The number of furrows determines the working width and productivity, with 5-furrow models covering more ground and suited to larger operations, while 3-furrow units are ideal for smaller fields.
These implements typically create furrows with widths ranging from approximately 30 to 40 cm, while ridge height can be adjusted—usually between 200 and 500 mm—by altering the angle and setup of the ridging components. This allows the operator to adapt to different soil conditions and crop requirements.
Furrow ridgers are commonly mounted via a three-point linkage and are compatible with tractors in the 30 to 50 horsepower range, depending on size and working conditions. With a solid construction and typical weight ranging from around 400 to 800 kg, they provide stability and effective soil movement during operation. As with most agricultural equipment, specifications may vary depending on the manufacturer and configuration.
