GIANT Disc Ploughs : 2, 3, 4 and 5 Disc Plough

DESCRIPTION
Disc ploughs in 2, 3, 4, and 5-disc configurations are designed for primary tillage, particularly in hard, dry, or rocky soils where conventional ploughs may struggle. The number of discs determines the working width and capacity, with larger configurations allowing for greater soil coverage and deeper field preparation.
These ploughs typically feature concave steel discs with diameters ranging from approximately 14 to 32 inches, spaced to ensure effective soil penetration and turning. Working depth is adjustable—generally between 150 and 300 mm—by altering the disc angle and setup, enabling the implement to break up compacted soil and incorporate crop residue efficiently.
Mounted via a three-point linkage, disc ploughs are compatible with a range of tractors, usually requiring between 25 and 50 horsepower depending on the number of discs and soil conditions. Built for durability, their weight can range from around 200 to 1,000 kg, contributing to stability and effective ground penetration. As with most implements, specifications may vary depending on the manufacturer and configuration.
